RM Auctions is offering this amazing Ferrari designed racing boat at its Monaco sale, 11-12 May. It’s guaranteed to be a show-stopper! 
During 1952 and 1953, Castoldi succeeded in convincing Enzo Ferrari to provide knowledge and technical assistance to develop the boat. The result this monstrous V12 powered boat with more than a passing resemblance to the Type 375 Grand Prix that its engine came from. On 15 October 1953, ARNO XI made 150.19mph on Lake Iseo in northern Italy, establishing a world speed record for an 800kg boat. The record, incredibly, still stands today. Castoldi then sold it to Nando dell’Orto, who enjoyed a 10-year racing career with it.

Ferrari 340 Competizione project: Official Info and Specs 
The Ferrari 340 Competizione pays tribute to the original 1952 Ferrari 340 Mexico, which was designed to tackle the legendary Carrera Panamericana, and which took shape only in three copies.
The Ferrari 340 Competizione starts from a Ferrari 456 GT, keeping its 470-horsepower 5.4-liter V12 and six-speed manual transmission but continues by upgrading the aerodynamics, brakes and suspension and covering the bodywork and the mechanicals in fresh aluminum.
The interiour also borrows a lot from the 340 Mexico, but it has modern touches like carbon fiber seats, funky quad-bulb headlights, mesh inlets, and an attempt at diffusers.
This project is a work in progress, and it is known that only one model will actually be built , which is just as well, because knowing how keenly Ferrari likes to protect its property, any prospects of serial production – however limited – would likely be kiboshed by Maranello.

Ferrari North America will hold its own version of “Pilota on Ice” winter driving program in January 2012, in Aspen, Colorado.
The two-day course is scheduled to launch in January and run until the early Spring, and is obviously designed aorund Ferrari FF, the first versatile, 4-wheel-drive GT car by the Italian car maker.

For Auction: A Ferrari said to be ”the best Ferrari ever made” Serepisos’ model of Ferrari is said to be ”the best Ferrari ever made”.
Also listed in the Prestige Auction is the Governor-General’s Jaguar XJ8 which has been in use since 2003. The cars will be sold at the Auckland auction house’s third prestige sale of the year along with a host of other high-end cars including a gold 2002 Lamborghini Diablo SE. ”This is an incredibly rare opportunity to buy from a range of vehicles with a unique claim to New Zealand’s motoring history, and we expect significant interest,” says Turners chief executive Graham Roberts.
